Do you want to see what God is doing among Muslims? As you know, Islam is now the fastest growing religion in America and around the world, but Jesus is moving in an incredible way within the hearts and minds of so many Muslims.

Do you want your church to learn about Islamic issues from those who used to be Muslim (Muslim Background Believers)? Whether deep into Muslim outreach already or just beginning to have a vision for Muslim ministry, we invite you and your church members to become encouraged and better equipped to effectively penetrate the Muslim world with the love of Christ and the gospel message.

For this special event, a team of former Muslims will unite together to train Christian believers for ministry to the Muslim world at the 2012 Muslim Background Believers Conference on April 20th and 21st in North Richland Hills, Texas.

Special group and student rates are available, but space is limited and registration closes October 28th.

Muslim Background Believers (MBBs) have been instrumental in putting this conference together, and attendees will greatly benefit from receiving their insightful teaching and hearing their amazing testimonies.  Your presence at this conference will bring great encouragement to these MBBs as we become more united in Christ.  If you would like to know more, please contact us.

The MBB Conference Speakers

Dr. Abraham Sarker is a MBB (Muslim Background Believer) and the Founder and Executive Director of Gospel For Muslims. While training to become an Islamic leader in his native country, God miraculously touched his heart through a dream which began his journey toward Christ. Dr. Sarker has paid a high price for his faith in Jesus, yet he is committed to sharing this hope with others.

Dr. Sarker completed a Bible degree from Christ For the Nations Institute, bachelor’s and MBA degrees from Dallas Baptist University where he currently serves as an adjunct professor, and his Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Regent University. Dr. Sarker is the author of Understand My Muslim People, a well-written guide to help Christians understand and reach out to the Muslim people. He has also contributed to other Christian publications such as The Complete Evangelism Guidebook, a collaborative effort with Rick Warren, Luis Palau, and others.

Joel Richardson is a New York Times Bestselling author and internationally recognized speaker, commentator and journalist. Joel has been reaching out to the Muslim community for fifteen years. He is the author of a comparative analysis of Biblical and Islamic eschatology entitled Islamic Antichrist and Mideast Beast: The Scriptural Case for an Islamic Antichrist, the co-editor of the pro-human rights collection, Why We Left Islam: Former Muslims Speak Out, and the co-author with Walid Shoebat of God’s War On Terror: Islam, Prophecy and the Bible.

Joel has been featured on numerous radio, television and news outlets across the world including Fox News, the Glenn Beck Show, the Gordon Liddy Show, the Dennis Miller Show, Chicago Public Radio, the Steve Malzberg Show, the Sid Roth Show, Jewish Voice Today, the New York Daily News, WorldNetDaily, Front Page Magazine and many others.

Carrie McDonnall’s story is a compelling and inspiring one. She and her husband David served together as missionaries in Iraq. In 2004 while serving the Lord there, the couple along with three Coworkers were ambushed in the northern city of Mosul, all of whom were killed except Carrie. Her testimony expands beyond the events of that day and beyond the boundaries of missions.

Carrie’s message speaks loudly into the heart and Body of Christ, reminding its members to live out our faith intentionally, allowing it to reach into every aspect of our lives. Carrie’s ministry continues to cross the boundaries of cultures and ages as the Lord leads her to minister throughout the U.S. and the world. Carrie McDonnall is the author of Facing Terror (with Forward by Beth Moore), which describes her and husband David’s life and ministry together. It also chronicles her tragic loss. She currently lives in Texas and is the founder of Carry On Ministries.

Miller Cunningham was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, to missionary parents. He received a Bachelor's degree from Oklahoma Baptist University and a Masters from Southwestern Seminary. He has served churches in Texas, Arizona, Ohio, and Tennessee before coming to Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, in 2006. He has been deeply involved in leadership in the church and in local and global missions, including the Muslim world. Miller has served in over 25 countries—evangelizing, training national leaders, and planting reproducing churches. It is the passion of Miller's heart to see people come to Christ and grow in the knowledge of God's grace and love. His great joy has been to see the church mobilized to fulfill the commission of the Lord and live in the joy of His presence. Miller is married to Ginger; and they have two sons, Benjamin and Scott.

The Muslim Background Believer (MBB) Speakers The majority of our speakers are Muslim Background Believers with the training, experience, and passion to reach out to their brothers and sisters still in Islam, and to equip others to do the same. Each of them have known the cost of becoming a disciple of Christ.

MBBs have been instrumental in putting this conference together, and attendees will greatly benefit from receiving their insightful teaching and hearing their amazing testimonies. Your presence at this conference will bring great encouragement to these MBBs as we seek to truly love one another as the Body of Christ.

The MBB Conference Schedule

"I got so much out of this conference! I learned how God is reaching people from Muslim backgrounds, I learned what I can do to be more effective in conversations with my Muslim friends, and I made so many helpful contacts with other people interested in bringing God's light to Muslim peoples."

Derrah
Dallas, TX

"We thoroughly enjoyed this years conference. Our initial hesitations and reluctancies to engage Muslim people in spiritual conversations is now non existent. We are excited to be able to more effectively and lovingly share the good news of our Lord and Savior with Muslims. Thank you so much!"

David & Katie
Duncanville, TX

"I was thoroughly blessed by attending this conference. I work in a school where many of the staff and families are Muslims. I feel that I have been placed in that school by God to be an intercessor for these dear people. The testimonies from MBBs were highly inspirational, and encouraged me to continue on praying for open doors to share "Isa" with the Muslims whom I come in contact with."

Pam
Carrollton, TX

"Like a lot of Americans, I was fearful of Muslims.  I bought into the lies.  In 2007, God began a work in my heart to attend this conference, so that I might come to know His Muslim people.  When I learned how close Muslims are to the Truth and to hear the sacrifices that MBBs have made to follow Christ, it broke my heart.  I will never be the same; I will go to the ends of the earth to show His Muslim people the love of Christ."

Scott
Dallas, TX
